It is with regret that we cancel our educational session with Bonnie Hopps of the Arthritis Society that we had planned for tomorrow/ Tuesday, October 5, 2010 @ 6:30PM. We are sorry to disappoint those who were looking forward to this insightful presentation. But don't despair, Bonnie is looking forward to joining us for our next scheduled educational session in January. Please, stay tuned for further postings regarding this event. This is an excellent opportunity to get CEC's (Continuing Education Credits) and PDC's (Professional Development Credits) locally without the expense of out-of-province travel.

MEPA Professional member Jennifer Onyskie-Marcus has volunteered to work with bomber fans Mike and Shelley Malyk and Blue Bomber, Jamie Stoddard as part of the Making the Connection Fitness Challenge. The challenge promotes awareness of cardiovascular disease and encourages health lifestyle changes. Jennifer Onyskie-Marcus has appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press and on CityTV's Big Breakfast show on October 14.

Manitoba Fitness Council hosted their annual conference. Douglas Brooks, Helen Vanderburg, and speakers from Twist Conditioning were just a few of the presenters. The Provincial MInister of Healthy Living, Kerri Irvin-Ross made an appearance to show her support.
